Polish League of Mahjong was formed in May 2010 year. It was founded by players of Japanese Games Circle of Warsaw University "Yorozu" and Japanese Polish-Japanese Institute of Information Technology Game Circle "Tenchu". We specialize in variation called riichi mahjong, but we are open to other rule sets. Members of PLM have experience in organizing events - we coordinated:. I and II National Tournament of Mahjong, held in 1982 and 1983 year, Warsaw Open Riichi Mahjong Taikai in 2009 year and three editions of Warsaw Mahjong Taikai – 2010, 2011 and 2012. From 2011 year, our association is a member of the European Mahjong Association and the World Mahjong Organization.

The purpose of PLM is to promote the game of mahjong and Japanese culture, conducting educational and cultural activities, and the development of interests, mind and personality of members. We also conduct lectures and workshops related to traditional Japanese games and Japanese culture, and co-create themed events. PLM invites all mahjong players and those fascinated by the Japanese culture.
